This is a part time position: Monday through Wednesday 8:30am – 5:30pm

We are looking for a responsible Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of Payroll and Group Health Insurance tasks. You are responsible for reviewing, preparing and processing payroll on a weekly basis to our current clients. You will sell, solicit, differentiate and negotiate insurance plans that match the needs of your assigned or prospective customers’ portfolio. The goal is to build up strong positive relationships, to ensure growth attainment and increase our firm’s reputation.

Responsibilities:

  • Onboard new payroll clients
  • Checking timesheets for accuracy
  • Entering data into databases and spreadsheets
  • Handling direct deposit requests and data
  • Processing paper checks for distribution
  • Acquiring all necessary signatures to distribute payroll
  • Processing wage garnishments
  • Making adjustments in pay for raises, bonuses and commission
  • Onboard new Group Health clients
  • Educate customers on each type of insurance coverage and make recommendations based on their needs
  • Evaluate current insurance policies and recommend additional coverage when needed
  • Maintain all insurance documents in a confidential way

Skills

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistant
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • High School degree; additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus
