Commercial Lines Account Manager


Fearnow Insurance is a multi-line, independent insurance business that has been in operation for over 30 years. Our mission to our employees, customers, and carriers is to understand their needs and fulfill their expectations.  

The commercial lines account manager markets and services commercial accounts for outside producers. This person must be able to communicate well with clients, underwriters, and the producers. Additionally, they must be detailed oriented and able to keep up in a fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate is organized and highly motivated to service commercial accounts. This person must be a team player and have exceptional workplace etiquette. Experience is preferred, but we will train candidates who display exceptional character and a willingness to learn.



  • Set up new accounts in the Agency Management System (AMS 360)
  • Build Acord forms in AMS 360
  • Complete supplemental applications 
  • Market new business
  • Follow up with brokers and carriers for quotes
  • Make proposals for producers to present to the clients
  • Bind policies by completing all paperwork for signature, attaching to AMS 360, and sending to carriers
  • Follow up on all policies, reviewing with AMS 360 and sending the policy with a cover letter to the client 
  • Manage and market renewals
  • Service producer accounts for all endorsements, making changes in AMS 360 and on the carrier sites, following up to ensure completion and communicating with the client 
  • Set up new accounts in AMS 360
  • Correspond with producers via phone and email
  • Make Safety & Drug Free Workplace Programs for implementation
  • Be able to pick out best solution for coverage & present details to Producer
  • Demonstrate a passion for serving others


  • Ability to take the initiative to get produce results with the underwriters & companies  
  • Have a no-quit attitude to find solutions to write business
  • Competence to see gaps & fix problems with solutions
  • Have a positive, upbeat attitude along with determination to complete tasks with excellence. 
  • Negotiate premiums and coverage on behalf of the producer and client


  • Handle all new business given & turn back to the producer in a timely manner
  • Handle all renewals appropriately in a timely manner
  • Advise producers on any missing coverages for new business and renewals
  • Keep Acords updated upon changes.
  • Be able to self-organize and date-set with numerous new business deadlines.
  • Prioritize deadlines to organize workloads and turn around quotes and proposals ahead of schedule
  • Communicate with producers when quotes come in
  • Get prices and coverages to present for renewals for any missing or rejected coverages from previous years
  • Document all interactions with producers, underwrites, & customers
  • Create suspenses (follow-ups) for every step 
  • Process endorsements and changes requests online and document in agency system
  • Review & attach policies

  • 4-40 or 2-20 license is preferable, but not required
